Ken Robinson’s video notes:

Thesis statement: From my first essay I wanted my readers to understand a little more about what an IEP means. I also wanted them to know about the struggles I go through daily with my IEP and try to be in someone else’s shoes for a little while. But, over all I wanted them know that when they set their mind to something they can accomplish it!

Ken Robinson’s video notes:

-Everybody has an interesting education.

-Education goes deep with people.

-We are educated for the future. We don’t know what that future is although.

-Creativity is important.

-You can tell that he really has a love for children.

-If you are not prepared to be wrong. You are never going to be anything.

-We get educated out of creativity.

-Everyone has the same education system.

-Math and English are taught more than drama and arts.

-Professors live in their heads.

-Don’t do things you like. Do things that will “go somewhere”

-Degrees meant that you didn’t have a job now it is changing.

-Intelligence is interactive.

-People who have to move to think.

-Celebrate the gift of the imagination.

I think it is amazing how Ken was not scared to tell people how we are pushing creavitiy out of people’s lives. And it is so true. If you are not doing a career that you will for sure make a ton of money in. then people don't think you are doing anything good. most of the time. I think that is silly because we don't all have to same interests and if everyone was the same, then life would be so boring.

But, for my essay I was thinking about comparing to good teachers that have to very different teaching styles. I have one high school teacher of mine in mind already. But, I’m still trying to think of the other teacher. I also might mention things that they could do better. But, I don’t know if that is what Sonia wants?

  1. Good work here! For your paper, you'll need to identify the role that both teachers do well at. Once you've defined that role, you can then discuss how well each did at enacting that role in their students' lives, and how they fell short or could have done better as well.
